Plant Fever

For centuries, our disconnection from nature has limited our understanding of plants beyond mere materials or decoration. Recent scientific and philosophical advances are reshaping this view, challenging the traditional human/nature divide. Inspired by ecologist Ian Baldwin’s idea to “think like plants,” designers and researchers are exploring plant structures and behaviours to address pressing environmental and social issues.

Plant Fever envisions a future of design centred on plants, shifting from human-focused to phyto-centred approaches. Featuring around 50 exhibits by creatives from over 20 countries, it explores themes such as plant blindness, biomimicry, eco-feminism, upcycling, and post-colonialism. This thought-provoking exhibition invites critical reflection and dialogue, aiming to inspire new perspectives.
